Stefanie Bachnick received her University Diploma of Nursing education/nursing science in 2015 from the Charité – University Hospital of Berlin, Germany.
During her research internship in 2014 at the University Hospital of Psychiatry Bern, Department Nursing Research and Social Education, she wrote her thesis about the development, implementation, and evaluation of a training course concept for professional care providers in the context of a psychiatric short discharge intervention.
Since January 2015, she is a research assistant/PhD fellow at the Institute of Nursing Science at the University of Basel. In her PhD project she explores how efficiency of nursing services in acute care hospitals can be measured as part of the MatchRN study. She is working under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Michael Simon and is part of the Patient Safety and Quality of Care Research group.
