8th SPINE Summer School on Causal Inference
From 16-19th of August over 30 PhD students, postdocs and faculty partcipated in the summer school program on causal inference for health research.
Lead by Professor Giusi Moffa of the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science of the University of Basel, Professor Sara Lodi of the Boston University School of Public Health and Professor Michael Simon of the Institute of Nursing Science, University of Basel participants learned about and discussed the conceptual foundations of causal inference methods, causal diagrams, analytical methods and trial emulation. The Swiss PhD Platform In Nursing Science Education (SPINE) summer school is an academic collaboration between the Institute of Higher Education and Research in Healthcare - IUFRS from the Lausanne University, and the Institute of Nursing Science (INS) from the University of Basel.
