The event is open to the public and free of charge. There will be the opportunity to take part with Zoom. Please register for the lunch talk by October 8 2024, by clicking here .
During this Lunch Talk, we will discuss leadership in nursing science and the role we, as nursing scientists, can play in contributing to the quality of nursing care.
We will share information about the opportunities for registered nurses in the Netherlands to pursue a master’s degree in nursing science, as well as the career prospects for nurses with a master’s education.
Marleen and Patricia both chose to pursue a PhD after their master’s and will briefly discuss how a PhD programme in the Netherlands is structured. Both were subsequently selected to follow the Leadership Mentoring in Nursing Research (LMNR) programme, which is a two-year programme for ambitious postdoctoral nursing scientists in the Netherlands. Marleen and Patricia will complete this programme in January 2025 and will share more about their experiences and opportunities in nursing leadership.
During and after this presentation, we would like to discuss the career opportunities for nursing scientists in Switzerland, the similarities and differences between Switzerland and the Netherlands, and opportunities to further strengthen leadership in nursing science in the future.
