Lunch Talk by Katrin Gillis (Odisee University – University of Antwerp, Belgium)

"The development and implementation of need-based care in the Belgian nursing home context". A solution to provide more appropriate and person-centered care is need-based care, a structured and standardized method that supports formal caregivers in nursing care homes in delivering person-centered care by responding with tailored non-pharmacological interventions on residents’ unmet needs.

During the Lunch Talk, Katrin Gillis will explain the rationale for the development of need-based care and the journey to implementation and research on its implementation.
