Biosketch
Flaka Siqeca completed her medical degree at the University of Pristina, Republic of Kosovo. During her last year of medical school, she was also an Erasmus exchange student at KU Leuven, Belgium. She pacticed medicine as a general practitioner in Kosovo for two years before obtaining the Chevening Scholarship to complete a Master of Public Health degree at the University of Glasgow. In 2019, she started her PhD at the Institute of Nursing Science, working on the INSPIRE Population Survey as part of the INSPIRE project. She successfully defended her PhD in March 2023 and will continue being part of the INS as a postdoctoral researcher in the INTERSCALE Project, led by Prof. Dr. Franziska Zúñiga.
