Biosketch
Jianan Huang is a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Nursing Science (INS), University of Basel. Jianan obtained her bachelor’s degree in Advertising and Communication at Wuhan University (China), her master’s degree in Sociology at University of Bamberg (Germany), and her PhD in Health Sciences at University of Lucerne (Switzerland). Her PhD research was about family caregivers and long-term care for persons with chronic disabilities in Switzerland, as a part of a project funded by Swiss National Science Foundation.
In addition to research, Jianan had experience in project implementation and evaluation in different fields. She joins the INS in August 2023, working in NIP-Q-UPGRADE program led by Prof. Dr. Franziska Zúñiga, with a focus on quality indicator development and implementation in nursing homes.
