Navish Aleem is a registered nurse and nursing educator from Pakistan. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Aga Khan University, Karachi, Pakistan and completed her Master’s degree in Advanced Practice Nursing at Aga Khan University Nairobi, Kenya in 2024. She has extensive experience in nursing education and leadership and currently serves as the Principal of nursing college, where she oversees academic development, curriculum design, and faculty training.
Navish has actively contributed to nursing capacity building and public health initiatives in the Hunza, Gilgit-Baltistan region. Her professional interests center on strengthening nursing education systems, workforce development, and improving patient-care quality through evidence-based practice.
In collaboration with the World Health Organization and the University of Basel, she has been selected for a doctoral position at the Institute of Nursing Science (INS), starting in January 2026. Her PhD research will focus on advancing nursing workforce strategies and system-level implementation in low- and middle-income countries. She will be supervised by Prof. Dr. Michael Simon and Prof. Dr. Franziska Zúñiga.
