Biosketch
Nora Peduzzi studied Social Anthropology and Sociology at the University of Basel, and at the Lunds Univeritet in Sweden. During her studies she emerged herself into the fields of political sociology, migration and labour, postcolonial studies, as well as sociology of time, anthropology of space and medical anthropology. She deepened her ethnographic research skills on various occasion in Switzerland and Colombia. Her master thesis “Everyday Life in a Retirement and Nursing Home in Times of Covid-19. A qualitative enquiry about the everyday life of residents of a retirement and nursing home with person-centred care during the Covid-19 pandemic in Switzerland” was conducted within the framework of the research project TRIANGLE at the INS. After her studies she worked in the field of legal representation for asylum seekers in Switzerland, where she gained proven track record in management.
In May 2024, she started her PhD project under the direction of Prof. Dr. Franziska Zúñiga and Dr. Sandra Staudacher at the University of Basel. The project is funded by the Swiss National Science Fundation (SFN).
