Biosketch
Serena Sibilio is a registered nurse who graduated in Nursing Sciences in 2017. Following a brief stint in occupational medicine, she devoted four years to emergency medicine in Italy. Simultaneously, while working in clinical practice, she actively collaborated with a research group, participating in 20 projects focused on nursing and medical practices in the emergency department. Recognizing her passion for research, Serena earned a Master of Science from the University of Verona, Italy, completing it in July 2023 with a thesis titled "Validation of the use of the National Early Warning Score System in Emergency Rooms using machine learning techniques for predicting short- and medium-term mortality."
Her commitment and determination to pursue further studies led her to embark on a doctoral journey. Currently, she actively contributes as a PhD student to the NIP-Q-UPGRADE programme at the Institute of Nursing Science (INS) under the guidance of Prof. Franziska Zúñiga.
