Sofia Calado completed her nursing training in Porto, Portugal in 2010. She has clinical experience among a variety of areas, including surgical and emergency care, clinical research and nutrition, and worked in Portugal and in the UK. In 2019, she obtained a Master of Science in Global Health and Development at University College London. After this, she supported healthcare innovations programs funded by UK national bodies to drive the adoption of innovation by the National Health System. In December 2023, Sofia started as an assistant/doctoral student in the SQUEEZE project at the Institute of Nursing Science under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Sabina M. De Geest and Dr. Agnes Kocher.
