Biosketch
Juliane Mielke was trained as a nurse (2013) and worked for several years in acute care settings in Germany and Switzerland (stroke unit/emergency department). Alongside this, she graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Nursing from the University of Freiburg (Germany) in 2015 and with a Master's degree in Nursing from the University of Basel in 2018.
In 2018, Juliane joined the SMILe team at the Institute of Nursing Science (University of Basel) as a PhD student. Supervised by Prof. Dr. Sabina De Geest, she completed her dissertation in 2022, which focused on CONtextual analySis in implEmeNtation Science (CONSENS) and described a methodology for studying context. Since June 2022, Juliane is working as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Institute of Nursing Science focusing on the combination of implementation science, systems science and data science methods.
